Introduction

Welcome to Saatchi & Saatchi accredited OHS training program. Occupational health and safety (OHS) training is an important component of Saatchi & Saatchi’s effective OHS management system and is a legal requirement under OHS laws.

Saatchi & Saatchi as the employer is required to provide OHS instruction, training and information particularly with regards to the legislative risk management and consultative provisions that all Saatchi & Saatchi employees are legally bound to participate in. Saatchi & Saatchi’s accredited OHS course is based on the competency unit ‘Monitor a Safe Workplace’ (BSBOHS407A) from the Certificate IV in Screen & Media (CUF40107)) - a national qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).  On successfully completing the course you will receive a formal and nationally registered ‘statement of attainment’ certificate award.

The BSBOHS407A Monitor a Safe Workplace course aims to provide Saatchi & Saatchi employees with the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor the organisation's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area to meet legislative requirements. You can access Saatchi & Saatchi’s OHS Management system on the intranet.

The course learning & assessment and certification are undertaken through OHS Media Services Registered Training Organisation.

The course takes between an hour and an hour and a half to complete. All existing Saatchi & Saatchi personnel are required to complete the course by Wednesday 6th of October 2010 – i.e. 3 weeks.
